Efficient ordering of products benefits all CG Stakeholders. The goal is to order just enough quantity to be running low at the same time the rep is coming in to put new product on the shelf. While some larger stores have moved to Distribution Centers and single item orders, most retail outlets are smaller and do not have that ability.

It's important then, given turnover in both sales and retail environments, to provide those doing the ordering - and those approving the orders - with order history and suggested order quantity. Over time, order history provides an excellent indication of future demand, and having that information available while ordering can help you reach that goal of perfect timing within the supply chain.
